Nicholson Twp. Bus accident

No injuries were reported Friday afternoon in an accident involving a school vehicle in Nicholson Township.

According to Fayette County 9-1-1, the accident occurred around 3:50 p.m. on Warbranch Road at Bennington Road. According to 9-1-1, the parents of all four students arrived on the scene and refused treatment for their children. The driver of the school vehicle owned by Laidlaw Bus Lines also refused treatment.

The Fairchance Emergency Medical Service, Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department and the state police responded to the call.

Luzerne Twp.

Gun fired

State police said a window of 35-year-old David Yocabet’s New Salem residence was shot at with a gun at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday. Police said the bullet traveled through the glass window and damaged window blinds before fragmenting.

Upper Tyrone Twp.

Vehicle recovered

State police said a vehicle reported stolen was found parked in a private driveway on Bradley Avenue at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Connellsville Twp.

Man to be charged

Simple assault and harassment charges will be filed against a 22-year-old Connellsville man who allegedly punched Ryan Lynn Weyant, 26, of Connellsville in the face during an altercation that occurred at 1:10 p.m. Monday at a Dry Hill Lane residence.

Police said Weyant, who is pregnant, was also allegedly thrown on the ground and kicked in the back and legs.

Uniontown

Tires flattened

City police said Jeffrey Moran, 37, of Uniontown reported Thursday at 10 p.m. that two tires on his vehicle were flattened after he was involved in a disturbance with three men in Potter’s Grill on Morgantown Street. Police said the valve stems might have been removed from the tires.

Centerville

Vehicle accident

Borough police said the driver of a pupil transportation mini-van and a 15-year-old passenger were injured in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 40 and Linton Road on Thursday afternoon. Police said the van driver, Kathy Semshack, 41, of Richeyville, and passenger, Rose Little of Malden, were taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital. The other driver, Nicholas Moschetta, 17, of Centerville, was not injured.

The accident is under investigation.

Franklin Twp.

Hit-and-run

State police are looking for the operator of a 2001 red Mercury Mountaineer with PA registration GMB0552 after they allegedly fled the scene after losing control and striking a guide rail Thursday at 2:55 p.m. on Route 51.

Henry Clay Twp.

Two-vehicle accident

State police are investigating an accident on Bruceton Road at Route 281 in which vehicles driven by Holly A. McMillen, 33, of Markleysburg and Paul E. Frey of Markleysburg collided at Braddock Road at 9:49 a.m.

Police said McMillen was transported to Uniontown Hospital for minor head injuries.

Access device fraud

Nikkole Merritt of Scottdale told state police someone removed $500 from her bank account using an ATM card at the Speedy Meedy along Route 119 on Monday or Tuesday.

South Union Twp.

Harassment

State police said harassment charges are pending against a Mount Pleasant woman for having unwanted contact with Jason Scott Martin, 30, of 1212 Brownfield Road, Uniontown, for several days.

North Union Twp.

Retail theft

State police said someone stole $12.09 worth of gasoline from J&G Foodmart Sunday at 10:54 p.m.

Georges Twp.

Vehicle theft

Gary Nicklow, 29, of 143 Smiley Road told state police someone stole his 2004 Black Honda Civic from outside his residence sometime between 3 and 4 a.m. Thursday.

Police later found the vehicle burned in the area of Smiley Road and Super House Road. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
