Garnet Franks Jones Woodward, R.N.
Garnet Jones Woodward, R.N., age 83, of Uniontown, Pa., died Thursday, February 1, 2007, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born on April 26, 1923, the Daughter of Benjamin Franks and Bertha Fowler Franks.
Garnet was a member of the Flatwoods Baptist Church.
She graduated from the now former Uniontown Hospital School of Nursing and had been a Registered Nurse at Uniontown Hospital for 40 years.
She was predeceased by her Parents, her Husbands, Charles Jones and Carl Woodward, Grandson, Aaron Jones, and Sister, Iris Bogden.
She is survived by two Children: Charles L. Jones and his wife Frances, Uniontown, and Iveda Jones, Uniontown; Grandson, Jason Jones; two Sisters: Ruby Lang, Rockville, Maryland, and Bernice Sesler, Smithfield, Pa.; and Brother, Marshall Franks, Masontown, Pa.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 680 CHERRY TREE LANE, UNIONTOWN, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 5, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. C. Eugene Stollings officiating.
Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
Visitation was also held on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
