GERMAN TWP. – No one was injured when a fire broke out in a mobile home on Plummer Road in German Township Monday afternoon. Volunteer firefighters were able to quickly contain the blaze, which started underneath the mobile home, located at 313 Plummer Road in McClellandtown around 12:30 p.m.

The unidentified residents were able to get out of the house as fire crews led by McClellandtown Fire Chief Jim Huhn worked quickly in the frigid weather to extinguish the blaze.

It was not immediately known what caused the fire.

Firefighters from Footedale Volunteer Fire Department and the Uniontown Fire Department, along with emergency personnel from Uniontown Fireman’s Ambulance, also responded to the scene.
