Woman held for court in prison sex case

By Josh Krysak 2 min read

A Masontown woman charged with having sex with an inmate at the Fayette County Prison has waived the charges against her to court. State police, the district attorney’s office and prison officials charged Michelle Ann Clark, 39, with institutional sexual assault before Magisterial District Judge Mark L. Blair in January after an investigation at the prison.

Clark waived the charge against her last week, according to trooper Charles Morrison.

The charge resulted when Clark was a contract worker at the prison working as a cook with The Nutrition Group last year.

Morrison alleges that over a two-month period, Clark had sexual intercourse with Cedric Greer, an inmate at the prison, between 10 and 15 times. Greer, 32, of Lemont Furnace is in prison for several offenses.

Morrison said the alleged sexual assault was discovered during an investigation concerning drugs and contraband allegedly being smuggled into the prison.

Morrison said investigators discovered that Greer and Clark were talking on the phone, and served a subpoena to get recordings of the calls, which Morrison said graphically detailed their sexual interactions at the prison.

When police confronted Clark, Morrison said she gave police a two-page written confession.

Morrison said no charges have been filed regarding the alleged contraband at the prison but added Tuesday that an investigation into the alleged activity is continuing.
