Alice Elizabeth Newcomer, 86, of Uniontown, Pa., died Friday, February 9, 2007, in Girard, Pa. She was born May 26, 1920, in Uniontown, Pa., a daughter of the late Edward Retkofsky and Laura Chambers Retkofsky.

Also preceding her in death were her first husband, Donald Eugene Newcomer and a second husband, Earl E. Wright.

Mrs. Newcomer was a member of the Uniontown Central Christian Church, Uniontown Circle Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47 Ladies Auxiliary and the Gem League. She had worked as a receptionist for the Fayette Cable Company.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa.
