Dixie Lee Krichbaum, 64, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2007, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born on June 26, 1942, in Charleston, West Virginia, a daughter of Earl W. Thaxton of Charleston, West Virginia, and the late Mary Catherine (Martin) Thaxton.

Dixie was Baptist by faith. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Her family meant the world to her and she meant the world to them.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 27 years, Donald E. Krichbaum; three children: Russell E. Crowder, Jr. and wife, Karen of Parma Heights, Ohio; Jeanette Lee Graham and husband, Chuck of Brooklyn, Ohio, and Earl “Wayne” Crowder and wife, Amy of Brunswick, Ohio; four grandchildren: Matt Steven Crowder, Christine Lee and Amanda Lee Milam and Aleia Lynn Crowder; two brothers: Sonny Thaxton of Charleston, West Virginia and Rocky A. Thaxton of Houston, Texas; three sisters: Nadine Gandy and Honey Cox both of Sissonville, West Virginia, and Dorlena Wheatcraft of North Carolina.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2007, from noon until 1 p.m. the hour of Service with the Rev. David White officiating.

Interment will be privately held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
