Stanley W. Baniak, Jr., 55, of Denbo Heights, Pa., died Thursday, February 8, 2007, at 1 p.m. with his loving wife, Carol at his side. He was born on November 4, 1951, in Brownsville, Pa., son of the late Stanley W. and Bertha M. Underwood Baniak.

“Stan” was previously employed by Pompei and Sons, Inc., of Bentleyville, Pa., as a laborer until January 2005.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Richeyville Miners Club, Daisytown A.C. Club, Bentleyville Independent Club and California American Legion.

He leaves to cherish his memory, along with his wife, Carol Lee Finsley Baniak, sons: Eric William Baniak and Stephanie Roth of Brownsville, Pa., and M. Shawn Paul and Jodi Zelina Paul of Williamsburg, Virginia; beloved grandson, Corey Michael Paul; sister, Beverly Maki of Smallwood, Pa.; and a niece, Yvonne Lutes of Brownsville, Pa.

He will be greatly missed by his kitties: Felix, Paa-Paa, Little One and Prissy Macey.

His sisters, Donna Downer and Margaret Shinko, grandparents, Elliott and Agnes Underwood and Stanley W. and Jessie Baniak and several nephews, preceded him in death.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., on Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Edd Meyers officiating.

Interment will be in Westland Cemetery. The California American Legion Post 0377 will accord Military Rites.

Stan’s family wishes to send their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Family Hospice of Pittsburgh and especially Barb Sphar, R.N., for their loving support and care during these past weeks.
