Fayette Chamber plans business expo
The Fayette Chamber of Commerce, 65 W. Main St., Uniontown, is continuing to seek vendors for its 2007 Business and Technology Expo, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 19 at Uniontown Mall. An Expo luncheon will be held March 13 in the Uniontown Mall community room for vendors and others.
The luncheon will be free to vendors who have paid their registration prior to or on the day of the luncheon. Others interested in attending may do so for $10.
A spokesman for the chamber said the expo has a two-fold purpose: to provide an opportunity for business to showcase their products and make business-to-business contacts; and to give the public an opportunity to learn about what Fayette County businesses have to offer. Premier sponsors for the event include the Herald-Standard newspaper, National City Bank, Ford Business Machines, Atlantic Broadband, Uniontown Mall, Tri-County Abstract and the Community Foundation of Fayette County.
Booth space is available for a fee and includes black drape, table, chairs and access to electricity as well as a continental breakfast and free seminar participation throughout the day.
The expo will host a series of seminars for Chamber members. At least two will feature hot-button human resource issues affecting the local business community with another focusing on a technology issue. Chamber members may attend the seminars for a nominal fee.
The seminars will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, 1 to 2 p.m. and 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
