Pair charged

Joseph D. Lewis Jr. of Uniontown was charged with simple assault and harassment and Bobbie J. Mack, also of Uniontown, was charged with harassment after a domestic altercation at 47 E. Craig St. at 1:29 p.m. on February 9, state police said.

Car damaged

Elizabeth Laymon, 23, of Mt. Pleasant, told state police that someone damaged her car at 1 a.m. on February 10 along Route 982 near Bullskin Elementary School.

Pallets stolen

State police said someone took six wooden pallets from the rear of the Pet Supplies Plus store on Walnut Hill Road in South Union Township on Jan. 31. Police said they then returned and damaged a cable cord running to a parking lot camera. The pallets were valued at $30 and the damaged cord valued at $25, police said.

Juvenile arrested

A female juvenile was arreseted for harassment after pushing another female juvenile to the floor at Laurel Highlands Middle School at 7:50 a.m. on Feb. 9, state police said.

Cars collide

Dane Mitchell, 24, of Dilliner, suffered a minor injury and was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital after his Chevy Camaro collided with the Freightliner truck driven by Raymond J. Yuras, 27, of Carmichaels, at the intersection of Route 2011 and Huggins Road in Greene Township at 2:07 p.m. on February 8, state police said. Yuras was not injured.

Whiskey stolen

State police said that someone ransacked the Bobtown Volunteer Fire Department in Dunkard Township and stole 10 to 12 half gallons of whiskey sometime between 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 5 and 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 8.

Car damaged

Shaun McKahan, 25, of Dilliner, told state police that someone damaged his car and stole his license plate between Feb. 7 and Feb. 8 at Shuppe’s Trailer Park in Dunkard Township.

Fayette City

Man charged

John Hardoby Jr., 27, was arraigned and placed in Fayette County Jail on $20,000 bail after an a physical altercation with Samantha Sethman, 29, at a house on Wilford Street in Fayette City at 5:15 p.m. on Feb. 8.

Newell

Hit-and-run probed

A vehicle driven by Melanie Warnick of Perryopolis struck a parked car along Cassin Avenue around 3:10 a.m. on Saturday.

State police at Belle Vernon said after the impact Warnick continued to travel about seven miles to Francis Road where her vehicle became disabled. She then fled the scene.

Redstone Township

One-vehicle crash

Darryl Duncan of Reedsville, W.Va., and five other occupants of a vehicle he was driving, were injured in a one-car crash around 6:50 a.m. on Saturday along Simpson Road.

State police said Duncan failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and the vehicle left the road and traveled 150 feet to where it struck a tree. Duncan suffered severe injury when transported to Uniontown Hospital although his condition as of Saturday night was not known.

The occupants, Olivia Stohn, Rhonda Stohn and Tonya Palmer, all from Clarksville, W.Va., received moderate injuries, and Phillip Stanger of Clarksville and Anthony Powell of Morgantown, W.Va., suffered minor injuries. All were taken to Uniontown Hospital. Allison and Republic volunteer fire departments assisted at the scene.

Belle Vernon

Hit-and-run probed

At 8:25 a.m., Friday, an unknown driver of a white tractor trailer truck with a silver trailer and traveling east in the right lane on Route 70 on the Speers Bridge, tried to move into the left lane and struck a vehicle driven by Kelly Mills of Brownsville who was traveling east in the left lane. The impact forced Mills’ vehicle into the concrete barrier. The unknown truck driver fled the scene.

Mills was not injured.

State police said the truck should have fresh damage to the driver’s side. Anyone with information is urged to contact state police at Belle Vernon.

South Huntingdon Twp.

D.C. Quality Construction of Smithton reported the theft of tools valued in excess of $3,000 from a shop located on Boy Scout Road. The theft was discovered around 9 a.m. on Thursday.

Brownsville

Burglary reported

Louis Timms of Second Street, Brownsville, told police someone removed a gun from his residence sometime between Monday and Thursday. The gun is valued at $200.
