Feb. 12, 2007 Hiller retires

Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Pamela S. Hiller has retired from the U.S. Air Force after more than 22 years of honorable military service.

Prior to retiring, Hiller served as superintendent of the 35th Medical Operations Squadron at Tyndall Air Force Base, Panama City, Fla.

She is a daughter of Hugene M. Wilson of Uniontown.

In 1983, Hiller graduated from Fairchance-Georges High School and received an associate degree in 1996 from the Community College of the Air Force, Montgomery, Ala. She earned a bachelor’s degree in 2005 from the American Military University in Manassas, Va.

Little graduates

Army Pfc. James G. Little, a 1997 graduate of Belle Vernon Area High School, has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.

He is a son of James E. and Deborah R. Little of Belle Vernon.

Little received an associate degree in 2001 from Western College in Pittsburgh.

Miller completes training

Air Force Airman Kenneth R. Miller, a 2006 graduate of Frazier High School, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

During the six-week training, Miller studied the Air Force mission, organization and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches and received physical training, rift marksmanship, field training exercises and special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate’s degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

He is the son of Donald R. Miller Jr. and Cindy Miller of Grindstone and the grandson of Donald R. and Virginia Miller of West Leisenring.

Mrozek graduates

Army Pvt. Jennifer Mrozek, a 2002 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.

She is the daughter of Jeffery Riggin of Uniontown and Candious Jellick of McClellandtown.

Davidson finishes course

Army Pvt. Aaron A. Davidson, a 2004 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School, has graduated from the Petroleum Officer Course at Fort Lee, Petersburg, Va.

The eight-week course is the senior petroleum and water management course offered in the Army. Its purpose is to provide officers and Department of Defense civilians with joint service, theater-level management skills. The students received intensive training and planning in all areas of petroleum, water and laboratory operations, including five field trips to various defense department and civilian petroleum facilities.

Davidson is the son of Jodi Davidson of Oliver.
