Bishop requests prayer

Bishop Robert Duncan is requesting that all in the diocese, who are able, to pray for the Anglican Communion, its leaders and its future now through Monday.

During these days, primates of the Anglican Communion will be meeting in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The group will be considering the Episcopal Church’s response to the Windsor Report. Duncan, along with Bishop Bruce MacPherson of Louisiana, has been asked to attend a special meeting Thursday where the primates will hear from the part of the Episcopal Church which is committed to staying within the Anglican Communion.

“I ask your prayers for all who will be present, as well as those who support them around the world. Whatever side we claim in our current controversies, we are all united in our deep need to hear and understand what God would have us say and do during these times,” said Duncan.
