Curtis Lewis Shaw, 58, Hiller, Pa., passed away Saturday, February 10, 2007, in the Manor Care Nursing Facility in Monroeville, while members of his family held his hand and provided him comfort. In 1989 he became the President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Technical Association, an organization dedicated to ensuring that minorities, women and youth have the skills needed for a technological career. He also was a substitute teacher for students that were no longer considered mainstream. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, William Shaw of Greensburg, Pa.; two sisters: Vivian (Larry) Washington of Monroeville, Pa., and Millicent (Bradford) Francis of Hiller, Pa.; and many nieces, nephews, close relatives and loving friends.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, 6 to 9 p.m., in the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Baltimore Street, Brownsville.
