Elnice L. Adams Tressler
Elnice L. Adams Tressler, 79, of South Connellsville, died Tuesday, February 13, 2007, in the Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. She was born May 1, 1927, in South Connellsville, a daughter of the late Howard L. and Mildred K. Howard Adams.
Elnice was protestant by faith. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the South Connellsville Volunteer Fire Department, the Ladies Auxiliary of the U.T.U. and a member of the Women of the Moose.
Elnice was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John S. ‘Jack’ Tressler; three sons: Richard Tressler and his wife, Carolyn of South Connellsville, Thomas Tressler and his wife, Helen of Jacksonville, Fla., and David Tressler and his wife, Sharon of Dunbar; a daughter-in-law, Donna Tressler of Connellsville; five grandchildren: Janise Daly and her husband, Michael, Richard Tressler, Jr., Thomas Tressler, Jr., JoAnne Gretz and her husband, Thomas and Ann Marie Rosenberry and her husband, Joseph; eight great-grandchildren: Alexa Tressler, Ashley Rosenberry, Samantha Rosenberry, Tyler Tressler, Benjamin Daly, Tatum Gretz, Jacob Gretz and Daniel Daly; one sister, Lois Kurtz and also many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, John S. Tressler, Jr., one brother, William Adams, and two sisters, Betty Habarka and Verdeen Pierce.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m., on Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., on Thursday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, where services will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday with the Rev. Dr. Marvin Watson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
