Catherine “Kaye” (Salopek) Pyzdrowski, 74, of Masontown, PA, died on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at home. She was born on February 23, 1932 in Masontown, PA.

Her father, Melie Salopek, her mother, Catherine (Rupon) Salopek Zalac and stepfather, John Ivan Zalac preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thaddeus M. Pyzdrowski, a brother, Michael Salopek, two sisters, Mary Lou Oblak, and Agnes Zubal, and a niece, Pamela Sewalish.

Kaye was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Leckrone, Pa., and was a graduate of Masontown High School. She was employed with Fayette County Housing Authority for over 20 years, and retired from Second National Bank of Masontown after 22 years.

Left to cherish her memory are her step-son, Anthony Pyzdrowski and his wife, Laura, and son, Wade, all of Uniontown, Pa.; two brothers, Paul Salopek and his wife, Dorothy of Willoughby, Ohio; and John Zalac of Masontown, Pa.; beloved friend, Norma Honsaker of Uniontown, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 515 North Main Street, Masontown, Pa., on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, February 19, 2007, until 10:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Donald Trexler as Celebrant. Interment will be held in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Leckrone, Pa.
