Free preview Monday
CONNELLSVILLE – Monday the cast of the Connellsville Area High School’s “Guys And Dolls” will present a free preview in the high school auditorium beginning at 7:15 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. According to Chip Rowan, publicity director, the preview is held every year for the Connellsville Lions Club. However, this year the preview will also be open to the public. The auditorium seats 1,400 people and seating will be provided on a first come first serve basis.
Rowan said the preview will include many of the songs that make up this popular musical, including: “A Bushel and A Peck,” “Adelaide’s Lament,” “Guys and Dolls,” “I’ve Never Been In Love Before,” “Lucky Be a Lady,” “Marry the Man Today,” “My Time of Day,” “Sit Down You’re Rockin’ The Boat” and “The Oldest Established Permanent Floating Crapgame in New York.”
As a convenience, the ticket office at the high school will also be open from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday to purchase tickets for the actual performances on March 1, March 2 and March 3 beginning at 7:30 p.m. and March 4 beginning at 2 p.m., said Rowan.
Normal hours for the ticket office are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from noon to 4 p.m. and extended hours on Wednesdays from noon to 6 p.m.
Tickets for Thursday’s performance will be $8 per person; Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be $10 per person.
To order tickets by mail, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Attn. Norma Cindric – Musical Tickets, CAHS, 201 Falcon Drive, Connellsville, Pa. 15425. Enclose a check for the total of the tickets ordered made payable to Connellsville Area School District. Buyers should include phone number with their order in the event there are questions about the order.
