Richard A. Vegoda
Richard A. Vegoda, 55, of Brownsville, Pa., died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 14, 2007. He was born March 24, 1951, in Brownsville, Pa., son of the late Stephen and Mary Tiptor Vegoda.
Rich enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the clubs and playing the daily numbers.
He was a member of the Brownsville Sportsman Club, Hiller Fire Hall and a social member of the American Legion and Brownsville Eagles.
He was an employee for Shop-N-Save in Uniontown and he worked for Clyde Mine as a roofbolter for 14 years until the mine closed.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sondra R. Biddle Vegoda; brother, Stephen Vegoda and Darlene Hickle of Brownsville, Pa.; sister-in-law, Judith Biddle of Brownsville; stepdaughter, Tracy Savona and husband, Joseph of Brownsville; stepsons, Terry Watson of Florida and Todd Watson and wife, Daneen of Belle Vernon, Pa.; eight grandchildren; nieces, Stephanie and Danna of Acme, Pa.; nephew, Jason Biddle of Brownsville; and several cousins.
He was predeceased by stepson, Troy Watson and grandsons, Matthew and Joseph Savona, Jr.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Father Vincent Gigliotti officiating. Entombment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
