Elmer E. Dunkard
Elmer E. Dunkard, 90 years, longtime resident of Scottdale, Pa., World War II United States Army veteran (Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 8th Port of Embarkation,) who also served in the Civilian Conservation Corps, retired from Banning Coal Company and graduated from Penn Tech, Pittsburgh (television repair), died Friday afternoon, February 16, 2007, in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, Pa. He is survived by his wife, Grace M. Nicosia Dunkard, whom he married 70 years ago on November 26, 1936; sons: Edward E. Dunkard of Hopwood, Pa., and Dennis D. Dunkard and his wife, Nancy, of Connellsville, Pa.; grandchildren: Darla Piccolomini and her husband, Mario, of Waltersburg, Pa., Eric S. Dunkard and his wife, Susan, of Uniontown, Pa., and Sara Dunkard of Connellsville; one great-grandson and two great-granddaughters.
A private family visitation and service will be held this afternoon (Sunday, February 18) at 2 p.m. in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home Inc., 417 West Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Pa.
