Garland Terry, 78 years, of Shoaf, Smithfield, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, February 14, 2007, in Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown, Pennsylvania. He was born March 18, 1928, in Williamson, West Virginia, the son of Jess Terry and Ivory Gillman Terry.

Garland was employed as a machinist with Stahl Gear Company in Cleveland, Ohio, for many years until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his wife, Anna M. Maldovan Terry; children: Kelly Terry at home, Jodie Beatty and her husband Michael, Gans, Pennsylvania, Cindy Terry, Wadsworth, Ohio, Belinda Tropcoff, Ohio, Theresa Terry, Ohio, Diane Elliott, North Carolina, Rick Terry, Columbus, Ohio, Jamey Maldovan, Indianapolis, Indiana, and David Paul, Philadelphia, Mississippi; two special granddaughters, Lindsay Beatty and Ashley Huey, in addition to fifteen other grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, William H. Terry, New Bloomington, Ohio; and his sister Ernestine Hall, Williamson, West Virginia.

The family will receive friends in the SHOAF FREE METHODIST CHURCH on Saturday, February 24, 2007, from 12 noon until 1 p.m. A Memorial Service will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kenny Rockwell officiating.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Williamson, West Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shoaf Free Methodist Church, Smiley Road, Smithfield, PA 15478.

Arrangements are under direction of the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pennsylvania.
