Sarah Sitok Bittner
Sarah I. Sitok Bittner, age 80, of New Salem, Pa., passed away peacefully Thursday, February 15, 2007, in her home. She was born April 5, 1926, in Messmore, Fayette County, Pa., the daughter of Michael Sitok and Mary Ternitsky Sitok.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles W. J. Bittner Jr., and two brothers, George Sitok and Michael Sitok.
She is survived by the following children: Rosalie Cummings and her husband, George, of Dixon, Tennessee, Myrna Bittner of Lebanon, Pa., Faith Shelley of New Salem, Pa., Tracie Kennedy and her husband, Eric, of New Salem, Pa., Charles G. Bittner III of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Michael Bittner of New Salem, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a special friend, Lynnie of Republic, Pa.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., today, February 18, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Family and friends will gather Monday, February 19, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
