Walter R. Lazuka
Walter R. Lazuka, age 77, of McClellandtown, Pa., passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2007, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 4, 1929, in Edenborn, Fayette County, Pa., the Son of John Lazuka Jr. and Antoinette Tokarsky Lazuka.
“Ray” was a member of the McClellandtown United Presbyterian Church.
He was a welder by trade and was retired from United States Steel Corporation.
He was a member of the United States Army Reserves.
He was also a member of the United Mine Workers of America Local 1248 and the American Legion Post 423 in Masontown, Pa.
He was a Past Commodore of the Jessop Boat Club, Greene County, Pa.
His Parents and his Brother, David Lazuka, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his Wife of 54 years, Audrey Townsend Lazuka; these Children: Richard Lazuka and his wife, Valerie, of Dry Tavern, Pa., Deborah Addis and her husband, William, of Rices Landing, Pa., Dennis Lazuka and his wife, Renee, of McClellandtown, Pa., and Renee Young and her husband, James, of McClellandtown, Pa.; seven Grandchildren: Matthew Lazuka, Aaron Lazuka, Lara Lazuka, Hannah Lazuka, Jimmy Young, Katie Young and Brian Young; a Sister, Pauline Boczar and her husband, Frank, of Carmichaels, Pa.; several Nieces and Nephews.
Family and friends will be received in the H. DAVID McELROY FUNERAL HOME, 803 MAIN STREET, McCLELLANDTOWN, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, February 19, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Additional visitation will be held in the McCLELLANDTOWN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, Route 21, on Tuesday, February 20, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service. The Rev. Jeffrey G. Rach will officiate.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
