Clarence R. Weigle

Clarence R. Weigle, 65, of McClellandtown, Pa., passed away Sunday, February 18, 2007, in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born September 5, 1941, in Connellsville Township, the son of the late Russell and Orpha Fulton Weigle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Alice Delara.

Clarence (Russell) was a retired Corrections Officer at the Fayette County Prison, a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, serving with the United States Army and had attended the Lemont Furnace Methodist Church. He was a poet and songwriter and had to his credit twenty-five hardback anthologies of poetry and was involved in writing over two thousand songs.

He is survived by three sons, Patrick Russell Weigle of Uniontown, Pa. and fianc?e Liz Hagerty, Chad Weigle and Blaine Weigle both of Hawaii; four grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers, Byrdena Brant and her husband, Arthur of Keisterville, Orpha Orbash and her husband Robert of Amity, Pa., Richard Worley and his wife, Sandy of Royal and John Worley of McClellandtown, Pa.

Funeral Services are private under the direction of the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem.

Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
