Gilberta M. Mitchell
Gilberta M. Mitchell, 91, of Uniontown, Pa., died Sunday, February 18, 2007, in Golden Living Center. Mrs. Mitchell was born August 8, 1915, In Revere, Pa., daughter of the late Joshua and Coretta King Eakins. She was a bookkeeper for Fox Glass for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd Eakins and George Eakins.
She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Santore and husband Matthew of Uniontown, Pa.; two grandsons, Scot Santore and his fianc? Nicole Grant, and Christopher Santore; one sister, Loretta Brooks and her husband Walter; one brother, Merle Eakins and his wife Viola; two nephews, Merle W. Eakins and Gary Eakins; and one great-nephew, Jarrett Eakins.
Friends will be received in the J. HARRY JOHNSTON FUNERAL HOME, 65 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, February 21, until 10 a.m. the hour of service in the funeral home with Pastor Robert A. Moffat officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
