Olive Pearl DeCarlo
Olive Pearl DeCarlo, 79, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2007, in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born on November 29, 1927, in Everette, Pa., a daughter of Harry and Lilly Mae Sayers.
Her parents, husband, Bartholomew DeCarlo and a sister, Mary Ellen Guyton preceded her in death.
Olive was a member of St. Therese Roman Catholic Church. She was a loving mother and an avid card player. She had been a short term resident of Hillside Manor in Uniontown, Pa.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rose Marie Paroda of Uniontown, Pa., Denota M. DeCarlo Heiskell and her husband, William of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; Evelyn E. DeCarlo at home and Bart L. DeCarlo of Wichita, Kansas; five grandchildren, Kimberly Paroda Pegg and her husband, Ryan, Kenneth Paroda, Teresa DeCarlo, Julie DeCarlo, and Bart DeCarlo III; four great grandchildren, Felicia Paroda, Kenneth Thomas Paroda, Nicholas Pegg and Nathan Pegg; a brother, Clyde Sayers of Ashland, Ohio; three sisters, Sara Miller of Everette, Pa., Lula McCrady of Canton, Ohio, and Evelyn Sampson of Austin, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, Pa., today, February 21, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 7to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, February 22, 2007, until 12 p.m., the hour of service with Pastor Randy Costolo officiating.
Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
At her request, she asked that no flowers be sent.
