Paul Herman Paroda

Paul Herman Paroda, 75, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully at the Uniontown Hospital with his loving family at his side on Sunday, February 18, 2007. He was born on July 18, 1931, in Lemont Furnace, Pa., son of the late Paul Paroda and Julia Paroda Ruhland.

After serving his country in the Korean War, he was a barber for many years, and also worked for the City of Uniontown for 22 years.

In earlier years, Paul enjoyed playing softball and fishing with his sons. During his retirement, his enjoyment was cooking for his family and playing cards with his children and wife.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Matilda Amanwelle Paroda; son, Paul Paroda and wife Dolores; daughter, Bobbi Ryan and husband Bill; son, Andrew Paroda and wife Joyce; daughter, Jackie Nicholson and husband Jeff; son, Randolph Paroda and wife Diane; beloved grandchildren, Nicholas Paroda; Rebecca Ryan and husband James; William Ryan and fianc?e Samantha Budinsky; Kelly and Matthew Paroda; Jeffrey Nicholson and wife Erin; Dawn Noah and husband Darren; Kevin Paroda and David Paroda; two sisters, Anna Marie Riba and Pauline Tldzieczny.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, Pa., on today, February 21, 2007, from 2 until 9 p.m., and on Thursday, February 22, 2007 until 10 a.m. when a Ghinnaz Service will be held in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Father Joseph M. David officiating.

Interment will follow in Park Place Cemetery, Route 119, Uniontown, Pa., where military honors will be accorded by George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103.

St. George Parish Rosary will be recited today, at 4 p.m.
