George Miller
George Miller, 84, formerly of Connellsville, Pa., passed away February 13, 2007, in the Hillside Manor Personal Care Home, Uniontown. He was born on May 3, 1923, in Leisenring 3, Pa., son of the late Marko Miller and Martha Vukosovich.
He was a member of the Saint Stephens Byzantine Greek Catholic Church Ind. Slovak Club, Fairview Aid Club, American Legion Post 301, Knights of Columbus 948, Sons of Italy 454. He was a 50-year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, past commander of the American Legion Post 301 and past commander of the VFW Post 21.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Schroyer Miller on January 25, 2000, brothers, John, Mark and Nick Miller, and sisters, Mary, Carolyn, and Ann.
Surviving are his sisters: Pauline Bobcheck Roman of Uniontown, Catherine Vacha of Detroite, Mich., and Dorthy Vacha M. of McCulla Ala.
Friends will be received on Friday, February 23, 2007, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., in the RICHARD KUCERA FUNERAL HOME, 127 East Fairview Avenue, Connellsville, and on Saturday, February 24, 2007, there will be a Panachida Service at 9:30 a.m., Divine Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m., in Saint Stephen Byzantine Church, Rev. Father Joseph Kapusnak.
Interment will follow in the Saint Joseph Cemetery.
A Parastas Service will be held in the Funeral Home at 3 p.m., on Friday.
Full military rites will be accorded in the Funeral Home by the American Legion Post 301, VFW Post 21 and the Trotter Legion 762.
