Fund-raiser scheduled Central Elementary School in the Frazier School District will hold a fund-raising Jump-A-Thon Friday in conjunction with the American Heart Association Heart Month celebration.

School physical education teacher Steve McCormick said that students have been soliciting donations for the event that will begin at 1:30 p.m. for students in kindergarten through second grade and at 2:15 p.m. for students in grades three through five.

In addition to jumping rope, students will participate in an array of physical activity.

Area residents are invited to attend the event and make a contribution.

The Laurel Highlands School Board meeting held Wednesday night will be broadcast at 2 p.m. today on California University Television and again at 8:30 a.m. Friday.
