Frank Corob
Frank Corob, 80, of Edenborn, Pa., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 20, 2007. He had been a resident of the Laurel Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was born on November 8, 1926, in Bingam Junction, W.Va., son of Nicoli and Bertha (Stevens) Corob.
His parents, brothers, Nick Corob, David Corob, John Corob, infant, Robert Corob, and a sister, Olga Vonnell, preceded him in death.
Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
He was a retired coal miner.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Mary (Davis) Corob; three children: Frank Corob, Jr. and his wife, Paulette, John Corob, and Bertha Shipp, all of Masontown, Pa.; seven grandchildren: Jonna Corob, Jodi Corob, Jessica Corob, Joannie Wingard, Heather Wingard, Nicole Corob, and Randy Corob; a great-grandchild, Braden Alston Jones; two brothers and a sister: Eddie Corob and wife, Betty of Point Marion, Pa., Kathleen Spears and husband, Fred of Logan, Ohio, Bill Corob and wife, Glenda of West Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 515 North Main Street, Masontown, Pa., today, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, February 24, 2007, until 1 p.m. the hour of Service with Pastor David Lee Corob, his nephew, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion, Pa., where Military Honors will be accorded by the Faith-Gray-McArdle VFW Post 4584.
IN lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his wife, Mary Corob.
