Adele E. (Kennedy) Millen 83, of Painesville Township, Ohio, for the past 38 years, formerly of Mayfield Heights, Ohio and Uniontown, Pa., passed away Wednesday, February 21, at LakeEast Hospital, Painesville, Ohio. She was born January 16, 1924, in Uniontown, Pa.

She graduated from Uniontown High School and she retired as manager of the men’s department at JC Penney store in Eastgate Shopping Center after 15 years, retiring in 1969.

Surviving are her husband for 60 years, William W. Millen of Painesville Township, Ohio; two sons: William W. (and Marie) Millen, Jr., of Euclid, Ohio, and Gary E. Millen of Painesville Township; two sisters: Gloria J. “Jackie” (and Oren) Smith, Jr. of Uniontown and Nellie Amos of Defianee, Ohio; one brother, Robert (and Mariann) Kennedy of Upper Middletown, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ewing and Adele Kennedy, three sisters, Marion Dzmura, Hattie Kennedy and an infant sister.

Friends will be received in the J. HARRY JOHNSTON FUNERAL HOME, 65 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., on Monday, February 26, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home, with the Rev. Bernard Carl officiating.

Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
