Anne Csmos Egnot
Anne Csmos Egnot, age 85, of Indiana, Pa., and formerly of Oliver, Pa., passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2007, in Indiana, Pa. She was born October 6, 1921, in Oliver, Pa., the daughter of Metro Csmos and Mary Csmos.
Anne was a member of Saint John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Uniontown, Pa. She was a devoted member of the Church and she devoted many hours of work in making pierogies for many years.
She was very devoted to the Uniontown Senior Center and was a member of The American Legion Post 51 Ladies Auxiliary and The Circle Club.
A former employee of the Fayette County Court House, she worked as a receptionist for the District Attorney’s office and was a matron for Judge Fred Adams.
Anne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John P. Egnot, her loving son, Gregory A. Egnot, and her parents.
Anne is survived by her loving sons: John W. Egnot and his wife, Susan, of Cresson, Pa., and Robert D. Egnot and his wife, Linda, of Indiana, Pa.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., on Monday, February 26, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday morning, February 27, 2007, until 10 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held.
Divine Liturgy follows at 10:30 a.m. in Saint John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, East Main Street, Uniontown, with the Rev. Father Thomas J. Wesdock as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa.
Parastas Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday evening at 7:30 p.m.
