Charles R. Wolfe
Charles R. Wolfe, age 58, of Grindstone, Pa., passed away Thursday, February 22, 2007, in Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa., with his loving family by his side. He had fought a courageous battle the last seven months following his heart transplant. He was born June 30, 1948, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Thelma (Brown) Wolfe and Charles Wolfe Sr.
Charles was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fly-fishing and going camping with his family.
Charles also was a farmer and a 4-H leader.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Chuck Kobaly.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 35 years, Lucille Wolfe of Grindstone; his three children: Charles Wolfe III and wife, Christy, of McClellandtown, Pa., Rachel Wolfe of Grindstone and David Wolfe of Grindstone; his best pal and dog, Katie; two brothers: David Wolfe and wife, Marsha, of Roundhill, Virginia, and Mark Wolfe and wife, Patty, of Grindstone; four sisters: Kathy Springer and husband, Alan, of Grindstone, Susan Blank and husband, John, of Jeannette, Pa., Nancy Biddle and husband, Kirby, of Labelle, Pa., and Mary Gates and husband, Kenny, of Grindstone; two brothers-in-law: Bob Keller and wife, Jean, of Smock, Pa., and Del Keller and wife, Susan, of Smock; two sisters-in-law, Carol Kobaly of Flatwoods, Pa., and Wilma King and husband, Dale, of Smock; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and one great-nephew.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, Pa., today, February 25, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, February 26, 2007, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Chester Nolfi officiating.
Visitation was also held Saturday, February 24, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
