Donald Milton Leadbeater

Donald Milton Leadbeater, age 68, of East Millsboro, Pa., died peacefully Friday, February 23, 2007, in his residence with his loving family at his side. He was born September 21, 1938, in Hopwood, Pa.

Mr. Leadbeater was a well-known musician who truly loved music, formed the band “Little Bit Country”, and taught many local guitar players and fellow music lovers.

He was also a member of The Inner Light Gospel Band

Mr. Leadbeater was a veteran of the Korean War who served Honorably in the United States Navy and a Life Member of the American Legion Post 400 and also the American Legion Post 51 in Uniontown, Pa.

He was a former employee of the United States Steel Corporation.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Leslie Leadbeater and Loma May Leadbeater, two grandchildren, one great-grandson, eight brothers, Bill, Ewing, Ed, Jr., Grant, Earl, Vernon and Curtis, and five sisters, Lyda, Darlene, Mildred, Martha and Lois Jean.

Surviving are: his loving companion, Lil DeBord; seven children: Donna Rae Lincoln and her husband, Abe Lincoln, of Martin, Pa., Kevin Duane Leadbeater and his wife, Shelley, and Twila Moore all of Uniontown, Pa., Keith Leadbeater and his wife, Mary, and Donald Milton Leadbeater and his wife, Melissa, all of Smithfield, Pa., and Pamela J. Kozy and her husband, Joseph Kozy Jr., and Ronald A. Leadbeater and his wife, Roberta, all of Masontown, Pa.; nineteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Leadbeater Sr. of Uniontown.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Visitation will continue on Wednesday, February 28, in the FAITH ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH, 690 Morgantown Road, Uniontown, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Donald J. Immel officiating assisted by Pastor Howard Foust.

Interment will follow in Church Hill Presbyterian Cemetery, McClellandtown, Pa., where Military Honors will be accorded at graveside by the Uniontown American Legion Post 51 and the North Union Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8543.

Uniontown American Legion Post 51 will hold Service in the Funeral Home this evening at 7 p.m.
