Hearing continued third time
A preliminary hearing for a 39-year-old Uniontown man charged with criminal homicide after he allegedly pushed a man off a wall in Uniontown last November has been continued for a third time. Craig A. Geness of 103 Lincoln St. was charged Nov. 20, 2006, with criminal homicide before Magisterial District Judge Joseph George Jr. after he allegedly pushed Ronald Fiffik of Uniontown to his death at a personal care home in Uniontown.
Uniontown police Detective Jason A. Cox said Fiffik died Nov. 17 in Uniontown Hospital after battling injuries suffered in the fall, which occurred Oct. 27, 2006.
Cox said during his investigation that he asked Geness what happened the day Fiffik fell and that Geness allegedly admitted that he shoved Fiffik off the wall.
Cox said Geness told police that “voices inside his head,” told him to push Fiffik.
Geness remains in the Fayette County Prison without bail.
His preliminary hearing will be held next month before Magisterial District Judge Mark Blair.
