11-year-old dies in Greene County traffic accident

GRAY TWP. – An 11-year-old child was killed Tuesday when the vehicle he was riding in crashed into a house on Stringtown Road, state police said. According to state police, the child was riding in a car driven by a 17-year-old teenager when the accident occurred at 5:05 p.m.

Police said the passenger-side of the vehicle crashed into the 190 Stringtown Road residence of Robert Minton, 78, of Graysville.

The child was killed and the teenager was flown by STAT MedEvac helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital in West Virginia.

No information was available on the condition of the driver.

Police did not immediately release identities of either the child or the teenager.

In addition to police, volunteer fire departments from Graysville, Center Township and Richhill Township responded, as did Southwest and Richhill EMS crews.
