Charles W. Evans, age 82, of Point Marion, Pa., died Saturday, December 30, 2006, in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. Born March 29, 1924, in Springhill Township, Fayette County, Pa., he was the son of Paul O. Evans and Ruby G. Titus Evans.

He had been employed as Sales Manager for the Hafner Coffee Company in Etna, Pa., owned Pollyanna Poured Floors for a number of years and, until 2005, was a Watkins Products representative.

Charles attended the First Baptist Church of Point Marion, enjoyed golf and was an avid tennis player who had been active with many teams and tournaments in the Morgantown, West Virginia, and surrounding area.

He was predeceased by his parents, his former wife, Donna Evans, a brother, Paul G. Evans, and a nephew, Brian D. Evans.

Surviving are two daughters: Barbara L. Williams of Clarksville, Pa., and Darcie Evans Christopher and husband, Scott, of Seattle, Washington; two granddaughters: Wendy R. Winston and Hayley Christopher; two great-grandsons: Max Winston and Kyle Winston; a brother, Donald Marcellus Evans and his wife, Shirley, of Point Marion, Pa.; two nephews: Vaughn Evans of Carmichaels, Pa., and Deon Evans of Point Marion; and a niece, Patricia Evans Heidt of Point Marion.

Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, 501 Morgantown Street, Point Marion, Pa., on Tuesday, January 2, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, January 3, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. John Dorean officiating.

Interment follows in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva, Pa.
