Isa T. Rosenberger Glisan, age 95, of Markleysburg, Pa., passed away Thursday, December 28, 2006, in her home. She was born August 12, 1911, in Markleysburg, Pa., the daughter of Samuel and Anne (Boal) Rosenberger.

Isa was a member of the Union Chapel Church and a Charter Member of the Markleysburg-Henry Clay Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

She was the owner of Glisan’s Restaurant for over 53 years.

Isa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard K. Glisan on December 26, 1991, a son, Charles “Bud” Glisan on September 29, 2001, and these sisters and brother, Sylvia Herring, Lela Snyder and Donald Rosenberger.

Surviving are these children: Ruth Sutton of Brooklyn, Ohio, Darwin A. Glisan and his girlfriend Eleanor Elaine Cole of Markleysburg, Pa., Harry L. Glisan and his wife Phyllis of Farmington, Pa., and Bonnie Hager and her husband Wayne of Markleysburg; a daughter-in-law, Betty Glisan of Markleysburg; grandchildren: Charles “Chuck” and Mary Glisan, Deborah and Richard Herring, Douglas and Missy Glisan, Darlene and David Glab, Gary and Lisa Glisan, Jeffrey and JoAnn Glisan, Carla and Greg Czekaj, Sandy and Jim Maloney, Candance and Dan Vitas, Pamela and Kim Krickler, Bill and Nancy Sutton, Veronica Ankrom, Angela and Bruce King, Alan and Lori Glisan, Curtis and Debbie Hager and Terry and Louella Hager; 50 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME OF FARMINGTON, Pa., today (New Year’s Day) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Visitation continues Tuesday, January 2, 2007, in UNION CHAPEL CHURCH from 10 until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Pastor David Herring officiating.

Interment will follow in Thomas Cemetery, Markleysburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Union Chapel Church, Flatrock Road, Markleysburg, PA 15459.

The MHCVFD Ladies Auxiliary will hold Services in the Funeral Home today (New Year’s Day) at 8 p.m.

Visitation was also held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
