Mary Ann Golden Fleet
Mary Ann Golden Fleet, 67 years young, of Fairchance, Pa., died unexpectedly Sunday morning, December 31, 2006, in her home. She was born February 2, 1939, in Brownfield, Pa., the daughter of George Newton Golden and Betty Cunningham Golden.
Mary Ann was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and best friend.
Always thinking of others before herself, she was frequently found taking care of neighborhood stray animals and all the people that she knew.
She was an extremely hard worker, a trait that she instilled in all others. She took great pride in all that she did.
Mary Ann was predeceased by her father, George Newton Golden in 1999.
Her legacy lives on in her husband, John Emory Fleet, daughter, Tiffany Jean Fleet, and mother, Betty Cunningham Golden, all of Fairchance, Pa.; sisters and brothers: Sally Bowlen and husband Richard, Fairchance, Pa., Buddy Golden and wife Mary Ann, Vienna, Virginia, Linda Oliver and husband Tom, Bealeton, Virginia, George T. Golden and wife Sandi, Warrenton, Virginia, Charles Golden and wife Debbie, Fairchance, Pa., and Cathy Price, Fairchance, Pa.; numerous Fleet relatives in New York and Colorado; along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her loving cats, Tillie, Dusty and Lucy.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today, January 3, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at 8 p.m. with the Rev. George W. McLaughlin officiating.
Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
Visitation was also held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
