Michael R. “Mike” Lemansky
Michael R. “Mike” Lemansky, 73, of Uniontown, Pa., died suddenly on Wednesday, January 3, 2007, in his home. He was born April 23, 1933, in Footedale, Pa., son of Michael Lemansky and Cecelia Lemansky Zuchowsky.
His parents, brothers, Francis L. Lemansky, Clarence “Cork” Lemansky, and a sister, Helen Miscovich preceded him in death.
Mike was a member of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, and a graduate of South Union High School class of 1951. He retired from Hagan Ice Cream Company where he was a truck driver for over 30 years.
During the Korean War he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp, and was a member of the veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47.
He was an avid golfer and hunter, a member of the Polish Club, Seniors Golf League, and the Teamsters Local 491.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 47 years, Judy (Feeney) Lemansky; three children: Michael Lemansky and wife, Jerrilyn of Uniontown, Pa., Becky Sivewright and husband, Bob of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Danny Lemansky at home; two granddaughters: Miranda Jade Lemansky, and Katie Grace Sivewright; five brothers and sisters: Agnes Shinsky, John Lemansky and wife, Mary Ellen, all of Uniontown, Pa., Regina Houk and husband, Russell of Bethel Park, Pa., Anthony Lemansky and wife, Amelia, and Thomas Lemansky and wife, Angie all of Uniontown, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, January 6, 2007, until 9 a.m., when prayers of transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m., in Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Leonard Cornelius, O.F.M. as Celebrant.
Entombment will follow in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery Mausoleum where military honors will be accorded by the George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103.
