Gerard F. “Jerry” Maher, 62, of Uniontown, Pa., died Friday, January 5, 2007, in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born January 19, 1944, in Uniontown a son of Jerry and Helen Kelly Maher.

Jerry was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Church, he was the former general manager of the Uniontown Coca-Cola Plant, a member of the Uniontown Volunteer Fire Department, the Ambulance Corps and Uniontown Elks BPO Lodge 370.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Rita Batley and Mary Lynn Rosser.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Hill Maher; two sons: Jerry Maher and his wife, Denise of Butler, Pa., and Roger C. Maher and his wife, Jill of Canonsburg, Pa.; four grandchildren: Mia, Nicholas, Luke and Owen Maher; and a brother, Tim Maher and his wife, Mary of Tuscon, Ariz.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, on Monday from 3 to 9 p.m., and on Tuesday until 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., in Saint John the Evangelist Church, 50 Jefferson Street, Uniontown Pa.

Entombment will follow in the Sylvan Heights Mausoleum
