Margaret E. Karpus
Margaret E. Karpus, 91, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4, 2007, in The Baptist Home, Castle Shannon, Pa. She was born on March 25, 1915, in Continental 2, Pa., daughter of George and Anna (Fisher) Karpus.
Her parents, sisters, Eleanor Karpus, Anna Meter, Mary Kupets, Clara Potrocky and brothers, Tony, Joseph, George and John Karpus preceded her in death.
Margaret was a member of Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, the Catholic Sokol and had been employed as a manager for Union Supply Co. and Metzler’s Department Store.
Left to cherish her memory are her brother, James E. Karpus of Elmhurst, Illinois; and ten nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., on Monday, January 8, 2006, from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at noon in Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Micah E. Kozoil as Celebrant.
Interment will be held in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
