Patricia ‘Patti’ Kalamets Rusinack, L.P.N.
Patricia “Patti” Kalamets Rusinack, L.P.N., 64, of Bitner, Pa., passed from this life on Thursday, January 4, 2007, in Uniontown Hospital after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. She was born in Uniontown, Pa., on January 14, 1942, the only child of Theresa Volpe Kalamets and George Kalamets, both of whom predeceased her.
“Patti” was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Parish in Uniontown, Pa. She graduated from Uniontown High School in 1959 and became an L.P.N. in 1986. She was retired form the Washington County Health Center in Washington, Pa.
“Patti” is survived by the loves of her life, her three children: devoted daughters: Kelly Elaine Rusinack and Sheila Theresa Richard Porter of Bitner, Pa., who cared for their mother in her final illness; a son, Michael George Rusinack of Woodbridge, Va.; and three beloved grandchildren: Brandon Michael Richard and Valerie Nichole Richard of Bitner and Cassandra Leigh Rusinack of Woodbridge, Va. She is also survived by numerous members of the Volpe and Kalamets families, her ex-husband, Michael Rusinack of Laurel Hill and nieces and nephews of the Rusinack family.
“Patti” was a wonderful person whose sense of humor and gentle kindness touched everyone she met.
The family wishes to thank Twin Oaks Home Care, U.P.M.C. Cancer Center of Uniontown, B.M.A. Uniontown Dialysis Center, Albert Gallatin Home Care, The Bone Marrow Institute in Pittsburgh, Fayette E.M.S., White Line Taxi and Uniontown Hospital for all of their caring and support during Patti’s lengthy illness.
Visitation will be held in the THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., on Sunday, January 7, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Monday, January 8, until 9 a.m., the time of the Mass of Christian Burial to be held in St. Therese de Lisieux Church, 61 Mill Street, Uniontown, Pa. Pastor Father Kenneth Zaccagnini will officiate.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
