Pauline H. Pupek Abraham
Pauline H. Pupek Abraham, 79 years, of Fairchance, Pa., died Sunday, January 7, 2007, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. She was born March 7, 1927, in Baltimore, Maryland, daughter of John Pupek and Mary Kuta Pupek.
Pauline was employed for many years with the Fairchance Borough Water Department.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Russell I. Abraham, brothers, Alec Pupek and Walter Pupek, sister, Dorothy Pupek DeRemegis, and her very close companion, Frank R. “Sal” Sullivan.
Surviving is her nephew whom Pauline was his mother all of his life, Michael Pupek and his wife, Judy, of Smithfield, Pa. She was grandma to Michael A. Pupek and his wife Amy, of Fairmont, West Virginia, and grandma to Justine N. Pupek of Fairchance, Pa., and her fianc?, Matt Davis, of Adah, Pa.; and great-grandma to Brady and Mya. Also surviving are her two sisters: Theresa Koenig and Joan Fansler both of Baltimore, Maryland; four brothers: Steve Pupek, Melvin Pupek and Tony Pupek and his wife, Pat, all of Baltimore, Maryland, and Casimer Pupek and his wife, Ruth, of Portage, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 10, 2007, until 12:30 p.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. George W. McLaughlin officiating.
Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
