Annabelle “Goody” Grace Knox Livengood

Annabelle “Goody” Grace Knox Livengood, age 93, of Fairchance, Pa., passed away Sunday, January 7, 2007, in the Uniontown Hospital with her loving family at her side. Annabelle went home to be with her Lord and Savior and her husband, Charles. She was born September 9, 1913, in Shamrock, Fayette County, Pa., the daughter of George W. Knox Sr. and Myrtle I. McCollough Knox.

Annabelle was a member of the Fairchance Church of the Brethren, a Bible School teacher, a member of the Ladies Bible Class and served as a Deaconess.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles R. Livengood Sr. in 1977; four sisters: Florence Boyer, Orpha Barnhart, Martha Livengood and Catherine Weimer; four brothers: Clarence Knox, Joseph Knox, George Knox Jr. and Jasper Knox; two grandsons: Kevin Wilson and Brian Morrison; two great-grandchildren: Kayla Green and Brandon Green; a son-in-law, Douglas Springsteen; a daughter-in-law, Marie Livengood; and her parents.

Surviving are nine children: Charles R. Livengood Jr. and his wife, Ruth, of Sedalia, Missouri, Dorothy M. Wilson and her husband, William, of Fairchance, Pa., James G. Livengood of Ohiopyle, Pa., Rosella C. Springsteen, Geraldine Bricker and her husband, Clarence, Barbara A. Haines and her husband, Arnold, William Livengood and his wife, Ilene, and Thomas E. Livengood and his wife, Phoebe, all of Fairchance, Pa., and Eleanor L. Honsaker and her husband, Ronald, of Masontown, Pa.; 35 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Norma Knox of Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, and Emily Knox of Gibbons Glade, Pa.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins; and her beloved pet, Chi-Chi. Annabelle was the last surviving member of her family.

The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2007, in the FAIRCHANCE CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Rory Ruder officiating.

Interment will follow in Bethel Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Farmington, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Annabelle Knox Livengood Memorial Fund at the Fairchance Church of the Brethren, 17 Gallatin Avenue, Fairchance, PA 15436.
