Brian Lyon, 25, of Donora was charged with aggravated assault after he struck Jason McClelland of Republic in the head with a handgun during an altercation at a Village of Searights home at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 27, state police said.

State police said William Hoffa Jr., 46, of Fairchance was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol after the vehicle he was operating crashed on York Run Road sometime Friday.

Man arrested
Borough police said Michael Crosby, 39, of Grays Landing was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and escape Friday, one day after he escaped from police who attempted to pick Crosby up on an outstanding bench warrant.
Crosby was arraigned via video camera before Magisterial District Judge Randy Abraham and placed in Fayette County Prison on a $10,000 straight cash bond, police said.

Charles Clark, 49, of Fairchance was charged with two counts of criminal mischief Dec. 24 after he allegedly busted the screen door out of his ex-wife’s residence and threw a rock through the windshield of a vehicle belonging to Julie Bell while the vehicle was parked on North Washington Street.

Shawna Varner, 19, of Waynesburg told borough police a man reached into her vehicle, grabbed $10 and ran away while her vehicle was parked at the Fort mason Village housing project.

Following a two-month investigation, borough police charged Eric Sadler, 25, of Star Junction with identity theft and access device fraud in regards to an incident that occurred in November 2006, police said.

Borough police said four people allegedly involved in a fight that occurred in the Fort Mason Village housing project at 3 a.m. Wednesday were cited with disorderly conduct. Those cited, according to police, are as follows: Joseph Seper, 45, of Ronco; Michael Crosby, 39, of Grays Landing; Mary Williams, 44, of Masontown; and Artensy Brown, no age given, of Masontown.

Joshua Fitzgerald Brown, 22, of Brownsville was cited for numerous traffic violations following a hit-and-run accident on Pennsylvania Avenue in California Borough at 6:47 a.m. Dec. 19, California police said. Rachel Anderson, 23, of California was also charged with permitting violation of title for being the owner of the vehicle that Brown was operating at the time of the crash, police added.

Centerville police said Ronald Mikush, 49, of Clover Hill was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after he became defiant at the office of Magisterial District Judge William Pelkey, resisted attempts by law enforcement to call him and knocked three holes into a wall during the struggle with police Thursday. Mikush was placed in the Washington County Prison following the incident, police said.
