In a story published Tuesday about Newell Borough’s budget for 2007, which calls for a property tax increase of 1 mill, the council members who voted against the tax increase were not included. President Tammy Frinfrock and Vice President James Livi ngstone voted against passing the budget, while Councilmen Joseph Dandrea, John Matty, and Reginald Pierce voted in favor of it. The story also stated that the 1-mill increase would mean that someone with property valued at $50,000 would pay an additional $500 this year, when it should have stated that the property owner would only pay an additional $50. The Herald-Standard apologizes for the error.
