Margaret Hytracek Sutton
Margaret “Baba” “Tubby” Hytracek Sutton, 102 years of Big Six Crossroads, Smithfield, Pa., passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2007, in Horizon Personal Care Home, Fairchance, Pa., where she had been a resident for several years. She was born February 22, 1904, in Smock, Pa., daughter of the late Joseph A. Hytracek and Marie Miterko Hytracek.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Francis Reuben Sutton on January 1, 1992, five brothers, Frank, Edward, Anthony, Vincent and Peter Hytracek and six sisters, Mrs. Anna Kunish, Julia and Rose Hytracek, Mrs. Marie H. Soukup, Mrs. Kathryn H. Maskulka and Verda H. Tabor and her grandson, Dr. Randall Sutton on April 27, 2001.
Margaret resided in Georges Township since 1924 and was the former owner and operator of the F. and M. Sutton Grocery Store located at Big Six Crossroads and Route 857 for many years. After retirement from her business, Margaret was employed at Moss’ Supermarket Bakery Department and the Judy Jean Pastry Shop in Uniontown. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fairchance since 1943.
Surviving are her four sons, Harry R. Sutton and wife Sandy, Nolan S. Sutton and wife Shirley, both of Smithfield, Pa., Ervin D. Sutton and wife Delores of Farmington, Pa. and Dr. Gary B. Sutton and wife Marlene of Smithfield, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, Janice and Jay Schifano, Joyce and Scott Okubo, Raymond and Jennifer Sutton, Timothy N. Sutton, Beth and Louie DeLorenzo, Christie and Ariane Burrell, Dale and Teia Sutton, Patrick and Anita Sutton, Lisa and Bob Shaffer, Michele and Steve Ferenci and Reuben and Juliann Sutton; 24 great-grandchildren, Adam Yanick, Addison Schifano, Kattie, Bryan and Morgan Okubo, Haley and Hannah Sutton, Mitchell S. Sutton, Brandon A. Sutton, Logan R. Sutton, Damon and Jacob DeLorenzo, Leah Fields, Jordan, Faythe and Natylee Sutton, Emily, Alivia, Amanda and Maria Sutton, Chealsie Jo and Robby Shaffer, Abigail Ferenci and Nathan Sutton; several nieces and nephews; and granddaughter-in-law, Mary Metz and husband, Donnie Metz.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, January 15, 2007, until 10 a.m. the hour of service with the Rev. James B. Jobes and the Rev. Scott Teets officiating.
Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
The family would also like to thank the Albert Gallatin Hospice Team and the Horizon Personal Care Home and the staff for their loving care given to Margaret.
