United in marriage on July 22 were Kristi Grohal and Christopher Vaughan. The bride is the daughter of Kenneth and Cynthia Grohal of Uniontown.
The bridegroom is the son of the Rev. W.C. and Myra Vaughan.
The bridegroom’s father officiated at the ceremony held at the Sanderling Resort in Duck, N.C.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a shoulderless satin dress with beadwork at the top and a V-shaped back. Her headpiece was sheer with beadwork around the edge.
Erica and Ashley Grohal served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Kaufman, Marian Beck and Meghan Carrick. Kaylee Mauser was flowergirl.
Stephen Hatchett was best man. Ushers were James Moncrief III, Brian Huffling, William Sherrow and Michael Vaughn. Ring bearer was Jadon Silva.
A reception was held in the Soundside Pavilion at The Sanderling Resort.
The bride is a graduate of Penn State University, where she received her undergraduate degree and George Mason University, where she received her graduate degree.
She is a reading teacher with the Fairfax County Public Schools. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Lee University. He is employed by the Department of State.
The couple honeymooned in Paris, France, and the Canary Islands, Spain. The couple resides at Kearney Terrace, South Riding, Va.
