Franklin Twp. Vehicle stolen

Carey Kenney of Dunbar told state police that his 2003 Honda all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a shed at his residence between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 10:30 p.m. Monday.

Men cited

Charles Bradey III, 20, and Randy Bradey, 18, both of Brownsville, along with Jeremy Yothers, 19, of Hiller, were each cited for harassment after they allegedly punched Ryan Shane Murphy of Rowes Run and an unidentified juvenile during an argument on Sixth Street at 5:25 p.m. Monday, state police said.

Stanley Copeland Jr. of Belle Vernon told state police that vandals threw a rock through a window at his home on Bluff Street around 7 a.m. Monday, police said.

Theresa Brown, no address given, was charged with prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident in Uniontown at 7:53 a.m. Monday, Uniontown police said.

Telephone stolen

Uniontown police said a cellular telephone owned by Leonard Moncheck of Uniontown was stolen while Moncheck was at a location on Church Street at 2:16 a.m. Monday.

Woman charged

State police charged a Smithfield woman with breaking into a former neighbor’s home over a month’s time and stealing jewelry. Police charged Amber Noelle Matlick, 23, with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property on Tuesday, alleging she had a duplicate key to Doris Jean Whiting’s Long Apartment. Police allege that Matlick went into the apartment several times in October and November 2006, stealing “a substantial amount of jewelry” from Whiting’s bedroom. Matlick was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Joseph M. George Jr. and released on unsecured bond.

Tire shot

State police said Amanda Yanosky of Uniontown reported that a tire on her vehicle was shot out at 1:25 a.m. Saturday while the vehicle was parked in Bierer Wood Acres.

Man charged

State police charged Kevin Duane Leadbeater, 20, of Connellsville with terroristic threats after he allegedly threatened the lives of trooper Timothy Kirsch and his family during an arrest for underage drinking outside Sheetz on Jan. 7. Kirsch stated in a press release that Leadbeater also was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and underage drinking in connection with the 1:15 a.m. incident.

Frank Battaglini, 50, of Adah told state police that the rear window of his car was damaged while it was parked on New Salem Road around 8:15 p.m. Jan. 6, police said.

Theft reported

State police are investigating a theft at the Dairy Queen on Route 40. Police said $150 was stolen from a safe in the back office of the restaurant on Jan. 6, police said.

State police said Mary Kampert of Smithfield reported that the rear passenger window of her car was broken while it was parked in the lot outside of Teletech at the Uniontown Mall on Tuesday, police said.

State police said a soft drink machine outside Taxes Done/Refund Fast on Pittsburgh Street was damaged on Saturday.

Purse stolen

Megan McClure of Smock told state police that someone broke the front window of her car and stole a purse from inside the car between 6 and 6:15 p.m. Monday, police said. The car was parked in the Target lot at the time.

State police said a 17-year-old girl was cited with disorderly conduct for causing a disturbance on Connellsville Street at Thomas Street on Monday.

Brenda L. Mattia of Connellsville told state police her purse was stolen from her locker at Ogelvee Limited on Ogelvee Lane in Connellsville on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Accident reported

State police are looking for the driver who hit pedestrian Zachary Mitchell of Confluence as he walked on Stadium Drive, off Hopwood-Fairchance Road, around 9 p.m. Saturday. Police said that the car was leaving a driveway when Mitchell was hit. He was taken to Uniontown Hospital and sustained minor injuries.

State police said a man stole a radar detector from a display case in the Country Store on Route 40 around 3 p.m. Jan. 11. Police said the man was wearing a red hunting jacket and left in a white Dodge pickup truck.

State police said copper wire was stolen from Mountain View Properties Inc., 2370 Morgantown Road, around noon Tuesday.

Man cited

State police cited Eric Taucher of Hopwood for harassment after he allegedly pushed Rachel L. Taucher of Hopwood during a fight at 1002 Woodstock Ave. around 1:15 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Accident reported

State police at Belle Vernon said a Kentucky man is in serious condition at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh after a two-vehicle accident Tuesday on Interstate 70. Police said the two-vehicle accident involved vehicles driven by Sammie Brewer, 60, of Corinth, Ky., and Randy K. Schwab Jr., 33, of West Newton. Police said Schwab was uninjured in the 11:25 p.m. accident.

Man charged

Ryan Creese, 28, of Coraopolis was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle Monday after he allegedly borrowed a car belonging to Kayla Fosbrink, 23, of Connellsville and never returned it.
