Kenneth Williams

Kenneth Williams, 79, of Uniontown, Pa., died Tuesday, January 16, 2007, in the Cleveland Clinic. He was a graduate of South Union High School class of 1947. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict with the European Command.

Kenneth was employed by Acme Markets Inc for 30 years until 1979. Since then he worked at Turners Outdoor World, Bauer Lumber Company, W.H. Farwell and Company and Bob’s Sunoco until he retired in 2002.

He was a member of Saint Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Menallen Grange 1091 and American Legion Post 0946.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Grace Williams Fearer.

Surviving him are his wife of 56 years, Joann Schroyer Williams; three children: Robert Williams of Philadelphia, Pa., Janice Hayton and husband, John of Lanoka, Harbor, N.J., Richard Williams and wife, Michelle of Washington, Pa.; and two grandsons: Nikolai and Logan Williams

Friends will be received in the J. HARRY JOHNSTON FUNERAL HOME, 65 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Friday, January 19, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 20, at 11 a.m., in Saint Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 71 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., with Reverend Paul N. Frank, Jr. officiating.

Interment in Lafayette Memorial Park.
