John A. “Jack” Maczko

John A. “Jack” Maczko, 58, of Buckley, Washington, and formerly of Brownsville, Pa., died January 4, 2007, in Buckley. He was born on January 31, 1948, in Brownsville, Pa., son of William Maczko, Sr. of Brownsville, Pa., and the late Lillian Polette Maczko.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the United States Marine Corp, a member of the American Legion Post 295, Brownsville, Pa., the Buckley, Washington Eagles, and he was an avid sports fan and dart player.

He was formerly employed by the Monongahela Railroad Company and employed with the Rainier School in Buckley, Wash.

Besides his mother he was predeceased by his wife, Judy Maczko.

He is survived by his father, William Maczko, Sr. of Brownsville, Pa.; son John Maczko of New Salem, Pa.; brother, William Maczko, Jr. and wife, Leslie of Smock, Pa.; sister, Darlene Hickle of Brownsville, Pa.; two nieces and a nephew; and several aunts and uncles.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., on Saturday, January 20, 2007, from 11 a.m., till noon when a Memorial Service will be held with the Rev. Father Jerome Botsko officiating.

Full military rites will be accorded by the American Legions Post 295, 940, 838, and 275.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
