Ethlynne Miller Weaver Schultz
Ethlynne Miller Weaver Schultz, 96, of Connellsville, Pa., died Friday, January 19, 2007, in her home. She was born February 22, 1910, Friedens, Pa., a daughter of the late Virgil H. and Marian E. Miller.
Her first husband was Lawrence Willard Weaver who died on May 13, 1965. He was the former cashier and vice president of the former Gallatin National Bank when he retired in 1965. She married the Rev. Dr. Elmer A.R. Schultz on April 18, 1976. Rev. Schultz died on May 28, 1988.
She was a graduate of Scottdale High School and Susquehanna University and she did additional study at Syracuse University and Penn State University. She taught in the South Connellsville schools when there was a two-year high school there, at the Scottdale Senior High School and at the Connellsville Area High School, where she retired in 1975.
She was an active member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Connellsville for over 50 years and she served as past district president the United Methodist Women.
She was secretary of the former Connellsville Community Nursing Service, member of the Huguenot Society of Pennsylvania, National Society of Daughters of the American Colonists, National Society of the Daughters of the War of 1812 and a 50-year member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Veloy Weaver of Connellsville, Pa., and her stepson, Dr. Arthur L. Schultz and his wife, Louise of Westerville, Ohio.
In addition to her husbands, she was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Harrison in October 2005.
Friends will be received fro 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, Pa.
Additional viewing will take place on Tuesday in the WESLEY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Connellsville, Pa., from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. the hour of services in the church with the Rev. Craig Forsythe officiating.
Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville, Pa.
